In the SWISS BIOHEALTH CLINIC we gently remove titanium implants according to the SWISS BIOHEALTH CONCEPT.
What are titanium implants?
What Are the Symptoms of Titanium Intolerance?
Tanium implants release titanium oxide particles into the surrounding tissue. Everyone reacts to this in a different way. With one kind of titanium intolerance, the patient reacts with “particle-induced inflammation.” In addition, the following symptoms may occur as well:
- Chronic fatigue and exhaustion
- Skin problems
- Insomnia
- Difficulties concentrating
- Susceptibility to infections
- Headaches and facial pain
- Increased tendency towards inflammation
According to the Consensus Conference (2016), 80 % of patients with titanium implants suffered from gum inflammationwithin just five years. In turn, gum inflammation favors the development of heart disease, since the bacteria travel via the gums towards the heart.
Removal of titanium implants according to the SWISS BIOHEALTH CONCEPT
Titanium implants are removed without putting any stress on the body through a metal extraction process performed at the SWISS BIOHEALTH CLINIC. Using a special system (Implant Removal Set®, Neobiotech), it is possible in most cases to unscrew the titanium implants from the bone without causing the otherwise typical bone defect. In this way, a fully ceramic implant can be inserted directly once the patient’s state of health allows. Replacing titanium with a ceramic implant saves time, and the new implant can be directly screwed into the same bone cavity, thereby preventing bone loss.
How can titanium intolerance be determined?
What causes titanium intolerance to increase?
Ceramic Implants as an Alternative to Titanium Implants
With titanium implants, the gums never grow onto the metal. This leaves the “immunological gateway” always open, allowing bacteria to invade more easily.
In contrast, ceramic implants are special in that the gum grows onto the ceramic, thereby sealing off the “immunological gateway.”
Aesthetically, they have a decisive advantage over titanium implants due to their white color.
Treatment Procedure at the SWISS BIOHEALTH CLINIC
In preparation for the surgical intervention, BOOST should be taken for 2-4 weeks before the dental operation. The operation at the SWISS BIOHEALTH CLINIC lasts around 10 to 30 minutes per implant. Minimal swelling may occur. Following the operation, you should take 3 days off and rest while continuing to take Basic Immune for a period of 4 weeks.
